The Urban Sketching Course was held during the 2016 Fall Semester and over the course of 12 weeks students were taught various skills and techniques used in sketching urban landscapes and environments.

The introductory lessons were conducted in SUTD, the students were later given the opportunity for some practical sketching sessions at a variety of locations in Singapore.

Led and guided by 4 artists: Tia Boon Sim, Jenny Sim, David Liew and Andrew Tan, the students sketched the iconic city skyline of Marina Bay at the Promontory, the traditional facades of Kampong Glam, and the bustling city life around Katong 112 and Holland Village Hawker Centre.

The course is co-ordinated by Yeo Kang Shua, and Felix Raspall helped with the design of the showcase pedestals.

The course culminated in the urban sketching showcase that is now running at Campus Centre level 2 (near the canteen) till 29 Dec 2016.

We hope you will pop by if you have the time.
