TRANSFORM is a student-organised compilation of works to document and showcase student projects from the Master of Architecture Thesis and Option Studios.
The exhibition is organised into three sections:
Renew the Past – delves into the history of buildings, careful analysis of historical typologies and how meaningful connections manifest between people, through the adaptation of technological, demographical, and cultural aspects.
Shape the Present – grapples with the manifold ailments that plague the world of today through the medium of architecture. The projects take into account complex social, political and spatial relations, framing and visualising the various aspects of society, through the themes of housing, culture and shifting demographics.
Envision the Future – imagines the boundless reach of data sets, technologies and the inevitable redefinition of the role of public and private domains. These hypothesised conditions invite us to envision possible futures open to us and the resultant architecture that may exist in visionary cities.
The “Transform” Exhibition is on display at the National Design Centre from 3rd to 15th Oct 2016 from 9 am to 9 pm. It is designed and organised by a team of graduating ASD Master and undergraduate students. We would be delighted if you could make it to our Exhibition!
