Hot & Wet: Erik L’Heureux 2018-03-15T10:43:22+00:00

Erik L’Heureux is an Associate Professor at NUS School of Design and Environment, as well as principal of Pencil Office. His research—recently supported by the Arthur J. Wheelwright Traveling Fellowship at Harvard Graduate School of Design—explores a trajectory of architecture in five dense cities along a common latitude with Singapore. Erik explores the ways in which the challenges of “hot” and “wet” produces a set of details and architectural tectonics that define a novel approach to modern architecture.

Erik will present the results of his multi-year research program, as well as the ways in which the explorations of climate have shaped his own approach to building design.
