Historic Building Survey with Drones

Historic architecture documentation/survey typically utilizes the combination of measured drawings and still photography. Increasingly, there are other techniques that are gaining traction, LiDAR (terrestrial) scanning, structured light (component) scanning, in addition to the traditional methods. These scanning techniques unfortunately are extremely costly and many researches are focusing on developing low cost documentation techniques. Google Earth. This project is undertaken with Dr Foong Shaohui and SUTD Multi-Rotor Society to understand  the significance of the historic architecture under investigation, develop a strategy of documentation, followed by on-site video assignment (data capture).
