END OF TERM

As the final reflection, here is a summary of the project in its entirety.

Sensory Garden

Overall Axonometric

Overall Axonometric

Our urban project involves engaging the 5 senses of the elderly through phenomenology in architecture, with the use of light, shadows, water and sounds. From the ground up, it involves circular motifs and the population of a canopy structure as well as activity pods throughout Kreta Ayer Square to create a park space, along with trees to provide natural cover and shading. The canopy itself is made of a strong and lightweight material (steel maybe) with a glass roof for light to pass through it.

In addition, we constructed a 1:20 model of a portion of our sensory garden which captures a portion of the Tea House.
