The intervention attempts to reconnect people with nature through various means, extending the building into the neighbouring Kogane Park as well as with the introduction of programs that would bring attention to nature.
Cultural activities such as tea making and pottery making are closely associated with nature, and having sporting venues located in close proximity with the park all help to strengthen the connection between people and nature.
Level 1 Floor Plan
The passageway in the center of the building is kept empty as a temporary event space to increase porosity between the road and the park. Stalls can be set up here if required, for example for street food vendors during festivals and the like.
