Gifu city is a place indulged with local traditional culture. The City Cultural Center is surrounded by residence, shops and cafes. In order for it to further encourage the culture enrichment, it is going to be converted into a new complex building. It will offer accommodations in the upper floors for short-staying visitors like 2 weeks to 1 month, and offer workshops and studios in the lower floors for them to practice their artworks inside. The big Multi-purpose hall is going to be converted into a big space for them to hold their galleries and exhibitions. In this way, both the local people can come here to use the art workshops and visit the exhibitions. While artists who are interested in Gifu local culture can also come visit and stay here to be better indulged.
