Situated between Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge, on the waterfront, by the edge of the East river, the Empires Stores is in an enviable position at the heart of the melting pot that is New York City. The block-sized red brick warehouse was once a coffee warehouse, and today it has been transformed into a multi-use commercial complex that proudly adorns its heritage in the form of its red-bricked facade with its arched windows that reflects the ever alluring New York skyline. It’s internals have made way for a variety of buzzing functions, from a gastronomical extravaganza of a food market, to a bountiful farmers’ market to offices and even a history gallery.
