Project Info

This project sought to understand the caregiver demographics in Singapore which in turn informed the design of a one-stop Caregiver Hub.

In order to facilitate the development of a comprehensive support system for caregivers, research was conducted to learn more about their psychological, emotional, social and physical needs and the relevant services/programs that should be included in the one-stop centre. This was achieved through literature reviews, interviews, and architectural precedent studies. Site analysis of two possible sites were conducted, and an overall spatial organisation was also proposed. The research findings and recommendations were eventually compiled into a publication, and shared with the National Council of Social Services, in the hopes that it would help to raise awareness for caregivers in Singapore, and inform the design of the Caregiver Hub.
