IN BETWEEN CITY – LONDON-SOUTHWARK
The design was conceived both as an image and an instrument for the urban debate – flexible enough to adapt to changing planning parameters but persistent and salient as an urban image. The strategy is a conglomerate, which by means of different structures, depths, situations, by various means of accession and spatial relations allows programmatic complexity. It invites a proximity of spaces with diverse programs, dimensions and schedules. The volumes are big, and wrapped within hulls homogenizing their complexity to the urban space around – two Big Simplifiers. (For: London-Southbanks Borough, Peckham Partnership)
