Project Info

Based on participatory approach towards the making of public space, the research studies the design process in which multiple parties, including policy makers, designers and users, collaborate to prototype and create new urban conditions and network that enliven the city. With the aids of crowdsourcing technology and computational platform, the research proposes to enliven the existing under-utilized urban spaces by translating needs into real-time adaptation of public space design, thus promoting liveability in a high-density city and an ageing society.
