Abstract

What are the ways in which multidisciplinary practices are shaping human experiences? In a moment of renewed interest in the social – and as architects explore different ways to design for interaction and activity – a small group of Singapore practices have been evolving approaches to experiential design that mix architecture with interiors, graphic design, branding and scenography. DP Architects and FARM, in particular, have worked to develop methodologies for creating vibrant social spaces.

For this session, architects Tiah Nan Chyuan (FARM) and Seah Chee Huang (DPA) will discuss their recent projects, and the ways in which architecture must adapt to new expectations of rich programmatic social experience.
